Elysian Maine Coons of the Azores, Portugal!
Happy Summer everyone! Thank you all friends and families for sharing photos & updates, it really makes us smile and feel so grateful seeing those fabulous family moments and the love you all share every moment with these amazing cats as they grow along with you and your family.
To share what's happening with our family....Im totally loving my time in the Azores, totally. It's peaceful, beautiful, ocean and flowers everywhere...but, I am definitely missing our Maine Coons in a big way and especially kitten cuddles. Eric and I have been alternating time between the Azores and here in Stafford, my turn being much longer over there, while Eric is here maintaining the cattery. I have Cloudia and Amos (Maine Coons) and one island girl Señora Miguel (rescue) with me there now which has helped me to get my home kitten ready! Catios, toys, blankets, screens on windows, veterinary support...Im feathering a nest in preparation for our Maine Coon future Momma to come out and settle into. Eric and I are planning for Amara and Pharaoh to breed September/October ish. I'll get her out to the island right away, allowing her pre natal days to be done there. Having her settled in plenty of time for the babies arrivals!!! Pharaoh will remain here in NYS , with Eric, getting to know the other ladies and making many more beautiful, healthy & happy kittens. It's a try-it type of thing, we'll see how it goes and always be ready to re work the plan as needed. But again, there are no outside or international breedings happening. Pharaoh and Amara are kittens from our own breeding and they will have baby cats that are completely home grown Elysian Maine Coon Kittens.
People can use the same kitten application, same email, same contact information...the only difference will be platforms for payment & messaging but with the very limited number of kittens I'll have, it'll be a breeze getting those details figured out. Im able to meet families on mainland Portugal if that helps for EU families or welcome anyone to visit the island and stay with me for your kitten homecoming "experience", purrfect paradise kitten homecoming! If you have family and/or friends abroad who may be looking to add a Maine Coon to their families, please share our information. I'd love to get some cat chat going on the island!
